Our Shared Ownership journey was really easy – we found the property in March last year. We actually drove up here and saw that they were nearly finished building it which was very exciting to see. So, we placed our deposit, and we paid our small reservation fee which made sure this was definitely going to be our home – it was really easy and quick.
I would definitely recommend Shared Ownership to a friend; it gives you the opportunity to own your own home and get out of rented accommodation. It gives you the chance to have your own space.
The sales team at LGAH were brilliant – really, really good communication skills and I was in constant communication with LGAH via email They would email me back really quickly with updates, exchange and completion dates.
The benefit of buying a new build, Shared Ownership is that it really is a blank canvas for you to decorate as you wish. Also, the finishes that were chosen by LGAH, were amazing and just to our taste. We’ve decorated our new home quite modern and quite sleek. We haven’t done any painting or anything, that was the beauty of us having a new build.. it’s all done for you.
Another benefit is our kitchen, probably my favourite room, and all of the integrated appliances so we didn’t have to worry about buying any additional appliances.. they were ready for you.
LGAH gave us a takeaway voucher for our first night in our home which was really exciting and something that we didn’t have to worry about. So we ordered some nice pizzas, sat on the floor and ate our pizzas and we were so emotional with what had achieved and that we had our own home. It was just amazing to be honest, an incredible experience.
